Never mind the 10 year rule, I'm going to start complaining about why our crappy looking 5th wheel isn't welcome in some RV resorts!

We are in Outdoor Resorts Palm Springs where technically there is a 15 year rule, but it is really only used to weed out rough looking improperly maintained units. We routinely have older motorhomes in here, some of them are beautiful. For the owner of lots here, those that have 5th wheels set up on their lot have to remove them from the park when they sell their lot. It is kind of a self resolving problem and has never been a big issue here. Our oldest 5th wheel here is around 25 years old. It belongs to our oldest owner/member who is I believe 102 years old. He does 9 holes every day on the golf course and spends a fair amount of time on the putting green. I don't think anyone will be telling him to move any time soon.

I think the 10 (or 15 ) year rule is a tool in the tool box of resort managers. Properly used it is no big deal. We have had ours for 12 years now, I don't anticipate any problem in 3 years.

I had one occasion when trip planning that had that requirement on a campground website. For a couple of reasons we wanted to stay at that location. I called and explained that I had seen their rule, we really wanted to stay there a few day, and the status and appearance of our 12 year old rig. I was honest and upfront....not a problem.

I think I see the reason, just below the CARDINAL emblem I noticed a microscopic piece of lint........ never mind,I think I just saw it fall off, now, absolutely no reason. Beautiful rig

Dogpatch, maybe you need another axle, kind of like I need a tag axle to maybe meet the requirements (OK, just kidding - that is a beautiful unit you have)

10 Year Old Coach Rule (Bunch of BS)

You mean that I bought a new rig for nothing..... I simply wanted to get beyond that gate and snub my nose at the rest of the other folks that have older rigs.... Now I remember why I liked my old rig so much, I owned that one.... But now I can say my💩 don't smell....
