110v to 12v converter control box replacement
Hi I am looking for a replacement converter for my 1994 wilderness camper .What should I replace it with ?

This will replace the big brown control center in the middle of the camper? Mine has breakers and about 15 fuses? Thanks

I would say no. Below is a link to all their products which I'm sure one will work. At this point I would gather the info from present converter and use their 'contact us' link. I only had one like your's years ago and never messed with it.
I'll guess you may be able to keep most of your unit and just replace the converter portion. Your unit may also incorporate the 12OVAC system/breakers. Whatever the case, they can fix you up. Many places online to get PD products at reasonable prices.

My system will not charge the battery . Checked the fuses no luck!

Have you checked the output with a voltmeter? If it shows output, then start trouble shooting other reasons for the batteries not taking a charge.

That sounds like the converter. Can you get to the converter itself and test the output voltage? That's the best way to test to eliminate any chances the problem is between the center and the batteries. It should be in the 13.2v - 13.6v range, anything less than that I would replace it.
It could be putting out fine and your batteries are shot and just not taking a charge.

That is my guess too. Bad batteries or bad connections. Ground is infamous for being the culprit. Fuzzy white "stuff" around the frame ground stud is what I look for first when sleuthing out a 12v charging problem.

If you replace the converter, be sure to get a three stage with remote indicator. That will make your batteries last a lot longer. Converter replacement is not always easy, but it can be done. I'm pretty sure most PD units have the three stage, but depending on the supplier, they not come with a remote, or it might be an add-on extra. Just be sure you get one. I replaced my 45 with a 45 just because I didn't have time to change out any cables for the higher amps. If I had had more time before my trip, I would have upped it to a 60. And I only replaced the converter part of the box, not the fuse panel.

After you've traced what your issue is and you're sure it's the converter, what unit do you have? Built in, standalone? What model?
All that matters.
