12v compressor and reaching TT tires?

I just bought this compressor. 12v DC to Truck battery...with the included length of power cord, and coiled air hose, I can reach all 4 truck tires no problem of course. Confused on the TT part though. Supposed to have truck running when I connect. But for the TT...am I still going to connect the compressor to the truck battery, or tap into the TT batteries? And, if so, am I pulling too much drain on them? Because the truck is just trickle charging the batteries right? On the other hand, of I keep it tapped into the Truck, I either need to extend with another air hose (then I'm losing pressure accuracy over that distance I'm sure)...or rig some kind of power cable extension?? I'm sure I'm probably overthinking this, and there is a simple answer? Thanks

I use the TT battery without issue. I also added a 1/4" x 25' air hose for ease of use. The coiled hose would stretch out like a spring.

You'll have no issues using the TT battery. First off, I'm assuming all you're doing is topping them off, on occasion, correct? So, if that's the case, then you're only using the TT batteries for maybe a few minutes, at the most. They'll handle that just fine.
As for your rate your TT batteries are being charged, well, that depends just how low they are. If you've been boondocking for a while, maybe a couple of days and, have not assisted the 12V system with either a generator of solar etc., they'll be down quite a bit in voltage. So, when you hook up the truck to go back home or, to your next destination, your trucks alternator and voltage regulator see's the need to supply quite a bit of power to the TT to bring them back up. After that's done, then things simmer down to a maintenance charge.

So, using the TT batteries for your air compressor, especially if your truck is attached, will be just fine because it (the trucks charging system) sees the drain and kicks in to assist.

Word of caution...

After a few minutes of operation, that compressor will get hot. They should include a pair of gloves. Honestly, I'd rather handle a hot potato fresh out of the oven...at least after you've been burned, you can eat the potato.
