18K Mi TT Tire wear - greater in rear.

I have 18,000mi on my travel trailer tires.

What I've noticed is that the rear tires wear more then the front.

Also I have one tire rear, driver side that I have to replace because it is worn very low on the inside. I'll watch it ... hoping it isn't a big problem. Maybe do to lack of rotation?

How level is your trailer? Is the rear a little lower then the front? Have you weighed it loaded for a trip? Does the rear axle look the same as the front axle? Is the distance between the axles the same on both sides?

Thanks ... I've been reading up on the causes. Level did not come up. I'll have to check all those things.

The water tank is more towards the rear and I usually travel with about 40 gal in it; unless I'm on my way to a park.

The rear tires on my trailer wear faster than the front. I attribute it to the tires scuffing during tight turns (on any turns for that matter). You can actually see this occur - for example, looking out the side mirror when making a sharp left turn on fresh concrete I can see rubber marks on the concrete from the rear tires - the tire is basically scraping across the ground. I only get about 20K miles out of a set of of rear tires.

I now have 2 new tires on the rear and will rotate them.
