1995 Thor Residency your thoughts

W e found a 1995 thor residency for 7800.00 it has a little wear and tear inside they have six year old twins but I can deal with that also there was a blowout on the right rear tire panel underneath above the tire is a little messed up besides for that its in good shape roof was new 3 years ago tires Are less than 6 years old has a new water heater generator only has 250 hours on it refrigerator had motherboard replace 1 year ago it has 60 thousand miles on it we did a road test little bit shaky on the road it swayed but no loud noises or dings and the brakes work great the only big thing is the front air conditioner needs to be fixed but back air conditioner works fine so my question is has anybody else had experience with this type of RV are there any large concerns we should be worried about any info on anybody can give us I would greatly appreciate it thank you

That's a hard one to call. Really depends on your willingness and ability to do repairs yourself. The Thor Residency was a good coach but at that age, previous care and maintenance is everything.

A few comments:

> New roof - actually a new roof or just recoated with something? How much water damage occurred before it was re-roofed/coated?

> Tires at 6 years are actually nearing the end of their useful life on a motorhome. If it is on the Ford chassis, they are only 16" tires so replacements are reasonable.

> Front roof air dead - the roof A/C is pretty much a sealed unit and not usually repairable unless it is something simple like a bad wire connection.

Anytime you are shopping at that age and price range, it could be a good motorhome with a little elbow grease or a complete money pit. No way to predict. I'm not trying to discourage you, just saying be prepared and keep your eyes open.
