1st year to snowbird
Greetings,
We have been rving for 20 years, started out low budget with kids growing Recently we have retired and our downsizing our home but probably wont sell home till spring. We live in Colorado and want to go to Arizona for winter. I have been doing a lot of online research where to go. Has anyone had any experience in the Tuscon or Yuma area. What is a reasonable rate to pay for a 3 month stay, and what RV resorts are recomended We enjoy playing Bingo, so we prefer to be fairly close to casinos. Look forward to everyones comments.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
We will be in Tucson and Yuma for 2 months each. Under $500/month in grand RV resorts.
If you google "rvparkreviews tucson, az" you will see.

I do not stay in parks, but I know that the Cocopa (sp?) casino/RV park in Yuma is very popular for both those that appreciate a casino, and those that never enter such a palace.

Cocopah... That is where we go and will soon. We liked it well enough, after 2 years, to not look any further. We have an 18 hole golf course throughout the park, which no other Yuma park has... we are golfers. The park also has all the other activities that one would want; tennis, shuffle board, all sort of cards, dinners and pot lucks; we seldom leave the park for entertainment. Close to three casinos, Mexico is across the river.

We spend the winter in Bouse AZ which is about 25 miles from Parker and about the same from Quartzsite. There is a casino in Parker and bingo once a week at the local community center.
The RV park (Coyote Ridge) cost is $160 per month with metered electricity extra . The electricity costs us $55 to $65 per month.
It's 100 miles or so north of Yuma though.

Rincon Country West RV Resort in Tucson has the features you want and then some. Including an active Bingo game right at Rincon. Casinos are within a ten to fifteen minute drive.
There are two and I am referring to Rincon West
Rincon Country RV Resorts - Your RV Resort in Tucson, Arizona
This place features a lot of other activities and clubs for about every taste.
It runs around $600 per month.

Welcome aboard and glad you joined us. Hope you enjoy your snowbirding adventure. We'll watch this close as we would like to get back out West for a winter or two. Currently we go to FL but that could change soon. Enjoy and Be Safe!

If last year is an indication of this year, probably; call them now to find out.

Thankyou yes I will try and call Friday. Now after looking at the atlas its almost 1700 miles oneway this will be our first year snow birding. I am now wondering about Tx thats only around 1100-1300 miles first long trip with the 31 year old MH, but I don't foresee any problems
