2 Hose drainage...

So our new 2017 coachmen Mirada 35LS has 2 black tanks and a grey...
The front black and grey go to the same hose connection. The rear black has its own connection.

So I have a 10 foot hose on each, running into a "Y" to a common hose that goes to the CG sewage...

I have found that when I drain one, some runs into the other hose...

I find myself draining each hose several times to get rid of everything...

I have considered putting a valve on each side of the Y...

How are other 2 tank campers dealing with draining both tanks???

I have the same setup on my 2015 Encounter. I had the Y and 2 hoses. It became a pain to hook it all up, call me lazy I guess. I just use one hose now, drain the front pair first and then the back tank.

It has crossed my mind to connect the rear tank to the front hose connection. That would result in a 3 inch pipe mounted under the bays as there is no room to go within them.

We empty the mid tanks less often. The hookup design angle to feed a hose to the discharge port is awful. We solved the issue by having a SaniCon system installed mid. When we stop be hook up the rear tanks because we also replaced the hot water tank with an on demand system which generates more gray water with the family.

I'm going to take a guess that your hose hookup looks like this

I didn't like it at all. So I removed the hose storage pipe and moved the hose connection outside of the bay.
