We live near Toronto and left Dec 23rd after the big ice storm for the south. Noone would tailgate us for long in the Carolinas when the roof ice started to melt.

An 8' x 40' RV roof is 320 sq. ft. A cubic foot of ice is approximately 60 lbs. One inch of ice would be about 1600 lbs.

Right you are!

IF the OP has a 40' RV and IF there is 2" of ice on his roof, that ice weighs 3200 lbs.
