Have the same radios in my. Journey and they are junk. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand.

I agree with Sammie. I don't like them. There hard to setup & operate. Sometimes mine will change channels for no reason & I can't get it back to where I want. In our Southwind we don't use them. Hard to push the talk button also.
Save your money.

Got Motorola GMRS radios I have had for years. Those are for the DW and I. Everybody else grabs the Audiovox radio's because they are not allowed to touch the Motorola's

If you have two cell phones, the speaker phone function will work just fine.

One word of caution

Channels 1-14 are FRS (Family Radio Service) No license needed 15 and up are GMRS, this is a licensed service, License (Instructions for obtaining are in the box with the radio) last I checked was 80 bucks, it is good for 5 or 10 years (Forget which).. The fine for unlicensed operation, several times that for each day of unlicensed operation.

I bought a pair of Cobra's for $24 bucks with up to a 16 mile range and they work awesome for what we need. I don't worry about channels, just use 'em.

Amazon.com : COBRA CX110 16-MILE FRS/GMRS 2-WAY RADIO : Walkie Talkies : Electronics

Nice to see someone actually answered YOUR original question. My son's motor home has those radios and our grandchildren used them all over Disney Ft Wilderness and they worked perfectly.

Yes, 16 miles if both of you are on top of a tall building with nothing between you. In reality, maybe a mile tops.

And a big problem is people do not think rules apply to them.....
