275 Cummins Starter motor has power will not shut off

Getting ready for a trip I started the coach and the starter stayed running, until it burned up. I Replaced the starter with new one and have same problem, it starts but the starter motor motor will not shut off. lucky for me I had the battery cable off for installation of the starter I didn't ruin the new one. Any suggestions?

Trace the cable back to the starter solenoid. Apparently the solenoid contacts are welded. My solenoid was mounted near the battery tray.
