The attached link advertises two different male 50 amp plugs. One is 3 wire and the other is 4 wire Tweetys.com - RV Parts & Accessories - RV Hitches - Warn Products - Search .
I would think it should be 4 wire. Any thoughts?

50amp service is 4 wires.
The 3 wire plug pictured is a mislabeled 30amp plug.

Sorry guys, plug cap is correctly rated for 30 or 50 amps. In the old days, a lot of electric ranges (for example) used a 3 wire as a 50 amp. ( 2 hots & ground)
Now days, 4 wire is standard.
Best,
ruppr

4 wires and if you are missing one your RV is in deep trouble.
Hot (120 volts)
Hot (120 volts)
Neutral
Ground

Slight but very important amplification on the above. From either hot to neutral you should read 120VAC. From hot to hot you should read 240VAC to keep from overloading the neutral conductor - if you read 0VAC, then both hots are in phase, a no-no as your RV should specify 120/240VAC 4 wire (split phase) service.

On the page you linked to all the connectors are 4 wire, ALL of them
In the lower right (on my browser) is a Marineco connector, This one appears to have only three connectors (3 slots) however it is really a 4 wire connector.. the forth wire is hidden in plain site.. It's the metal "Arc" (section) on the outside of the plug.

Concur completely about a 4 wire service requirement on 50 amp. for RV, my only point is the plug in question is NOT misidentified as being capable of 30 or 50 amp capacity/rating as the OP asked. It includes the spare blade (L shaped) to convert to a 30 amp configuration and as shown is a 50 amp. 3 wire male cap.
Didn't mean to start WWIII---------

You are correct about the 3-wire plugs.
A 4-wire welder receptacle (240VAC) is identical to an RV 50A receptacle. They both are wired identically, and provide the same voltage and amperage. RV Electric
