3-pane sliding glass shower doors...how do you get to the screws at the top?

I have a couple of screws loose (my wife says more than a couple!). One is making the front glass hang at an angle. And now I have one at the back this is jamming the 2nd and 3rd panes together, so we cannot close the shower doors.

They appear to be hanging from a C-tube across the top. If I take that tube off, do I just slide the doors out one end and adjust all the screws, or is there some other way that I need to disassemble it so I can make adjustments and tighten screws?

Does anyone know where I can find disassembly information for these doors?

For now, had to purchase a shower curtain and rod to keep the floors dry while showering.

Not knowing what kind of shower door you have. The answer is hard to say. I know when I had a shower door that was in three parts and wrapped around inside the shower when the door was opened. I bought the parts and had someone else install them. I could not do it. I tried.

I agree, there are so many different types of shower setups, that is making it really hard to do a "google search" for it.

Here is a photo of the type of shower I have.

It looks like it all hangs from the bar at the top, which has tracks and stuff inside. The screws that are loose are inside that bar, holding the hardware to the glass panes. They are coming loose and jamming, so I cannot open the doors.

This weekend, I will pull that top part off and see if it all comes sliding out one end or the other, tighten the screws, re-align everything, and hope it all goes back together. I just hope that is how these things come apart, and I can get it all back together again.

Be a good opportunity to clean calcium and soap-scum buildup off the glass. Lay it all on its side and scrub HARD.

Just an update, in case anyone cares and is following this thread.

I was able to pull the entire door assembly up and out after removing only 2 sheet-metal screws from the top bar. Then I could pull the doors out of the sliders, tighten all the screws, and put the entire unit back into the grooves.

It will DEFINITELY take at least two people, and might need a third to get the panels back into the bottom groove while the other two people lower the unit while keeping it level and lined up. I was able to do it with only two people, but a third would have been very helpful.

All in all, a fairly easy job.

I wish I had seen your post a couple of days ago. We had the exact same problem and could not find any info. I finally did locate a u tube video and your solution is apparently the only one. I now am recruiting my two adult sons to help me repair mine.
