I just filled my BB 10 gallon tank here in Huntington Beach CA and found out after the fact (not paying attention) and they charged me $3.95 per gallon. "Next time I will pay attention", I paid $1.85 per gallon in Quartzsite.

Went to a local place that does not measure. Flat rate 20#$15 30#$25 100#4$69.
Firt time there the guy said I made a mistake ,I don't have a 100# tank . It's a 30. Not one to argue I gave him $25 and left.Second time the boss did the fill and knew what size the tank really is.

Here in our area this morning I found that it is flat rate also.

20# $19.00 30# $23.00 100# $74.00

The place I checked tries to discourage 100# cylinder filling. The cylinders are filled by the clerks and many of them can't handle a 100#. They do it by appointment when someone able to handle 100# cylinders is available.

My last two fillups

1: Parker's Propane, Near Flint MI, on as I recall Dort Hwy and Carpenter roads 2.19/gallon so 30 pounds (about 7 gallons) would be around 15 dollars

2: Flying-J in Franklin, KY. 2.89/gallon,that was less than 2 weeks ago, As I came across Tenesee, I saw the same price posted there

NOTE: I think propane is about 4 pounds per gallon.

For Flying-J locations and prices Flying J

For even better prices go to Google and type PROPANE and your zip code.

Paid $2.39 a gal three weeks ago at my local dealer in Minnesota. News media states natural gas prices will be lower this winter for home heating. However, since gasoline prices are up from last year seems we won't gain a thing. Had a warm Thanksgiving anyway. One month gone, five to go before we MH again.

Residential propane in St. Louis is running about $1.45/gallon.
That's about $.36/lb

4.2 Lb/Gal

I filled a 30 pound jug of LP for $1.99 a gallon way out in the boonies. I thought it was cheap, based on what I've seen since I've lived in this area.

You will always pay more at a campground, especially a KOA. They tack their additional profit on top of their already high profit.

It's about $17 for a 30# bottle on the Gulf Coast of Texas right now. Not sure what the $$ per gallon is.

In Niland, CA it's $2.65/Gal or at 4.2lbs/gal it's .63/pound.

I had my houshold 250 gal tank filled last week. Asked the driver to top off the MH tank. $1.67 per gal. That's in Northern AZ.

How many gal or lbs are in the tanks that you can exchange at Walmart and other places, usually used for BBQ's?
