'98 Discovery Generator problem

Hey all
I experiencing an lp generator problem.
Let me offer some history, during the last cold spell here, CO, I was trying to use the generator to help keep the batteries charged. Then you kind folks informed me about a dogbone and I use that now.

Anyway, as I said, I was trying to use the generator to charge the batteries but it would run for only 10 - 20 minutes and stop. It would start easily after it stopped.I thought it was probably just the cold icing the LP.

After I purchased the dog bone, I decided to have the chassis engine oil changed and routine service performed. While it was to be at LazyDays, don't ever go there, I requested their generator service. I also told them the generator would stop after 10 - 20 minutes of running. Well, they only changed the oil and filters in the generator.

Now we are having agreeable weather here and finally got my unit home today, after five weeks. Temps today were in the upper 60's and i tried to run the generator. Same thing, 10 minutes and stop. I called Lazydays and they then told me their service is to change oil and filters. They do not work on generators! [moderator edit]!!!

I am not sure of the make of LP generator. I was told it is probably an Onan. Has anyone experienced this before?

As always, any help is appreciated
Thanks

Make sure your voltage is right and check the frequency of it. It should be 60 hz. I had that issue on mine years ago and took it to Cummings and the mechanic let me watch comparing war stories between aircraft and trucks and RVs and he won. But my governor was out of adjustment. He looked at me and I told him I didn’t do it because I didn’t know where it was. But now I do. I installed a volt and frequency gage next to it so I can see what it is doing all the time now.
