I need help. Can anyone let me know where to go to get exploded pictures for the A&E weather pro patio awning. Mine is broken. The motor runs however the awning will not open or close. We can unroll it and close it manually. It seems as though the motor is not engaging a gear to make the tube spin. My awning is model 8551002.400S (21') both my friend and I are mechanically inclined but we need pictures or detailed instructions on the inner workings of the awning. We would like to fix it ourselves. The awning was manufactured 6/29/05. I have the product # and serial # but I haven't been able to find any pictures or parts #'s for the motor assembly. Also I need to know how many turns to tighten the tension.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron Fowler

Hi ronfowler,
Welcome to iRV2. Go to:
http://www.rvtechlibrary.com/exterio...308058.001.pdf
or
http://www.janeandjohn.org/docs/AwningManual.pdf
both say 9 turns of the tensions spring. The information about removing and reinstalling the motor are on the last few pages. The second link is the more recent issue. However, I didn't pick up any differences in the documents, concerning the motor and spring.
