A different kind of TPMS question
I currently have a TST TPMS, but I also have the Sliverleaf VMSPC. I'd like to go with the Pressure Pro TPMS which integrates with the Silverleaf. Both TMPS systems broadcast on 433.92 Mhz FM.
What I'm wondering is can the head unit of the Pressure Pro read the TST sensors? Or despite the same frequency do they transmit proprietary data packets that only the same head units can read?
Thanks,
Stewart

The only thing I know is, the 2 TST, TPMS products broadcast on different frequencies and according to TST home office, are not compatible. This question would be best answered by PressurePro.

I looked at the tech specs for both the TST 507 TPMS and the Pressure Pro. According to the spec sheets they both transmit on the same freqs 433.92. That's why I was wondering. But there has to be something.

They do broadcast on the same freq. but the data they send is unique so as not to interfere with other things on the same freq. Many devices use 433.92 MZ such as weather stations and such. The FCC controls the use of RF transmissions so OEM's must be able to distinguish between themselves and other units.
The short answer is no they aren't at all compatible. SilverLeaf could make there system compatible with both or either but I'm sure the arrangement with Pressure Pro is exclusive so that will never happen.

Yes, I sadly agree. There's never an easy or less expensive way out. Guess I'll stick with the TST. Nothing wrong with that it works just fine, I was just trying to reduce the dash clutter.
