Thanks Possom---My eldest son is retiring as an officer in the Navy after 27 years -----Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq---he is leaving unscathed except for the hardships faced by his family in his protracted absences---I am eternally grateful for his safety and his service. He is a stand up guy.

There are far too many that don't realize the high price our brave soldiers pay for our freedom. This Christmas try to send a thank you card to a soldier you never met-- after all they are putting their lives on the line for you and your freedom.

This is an excellent suggestion.

Christmas was the time I most missed being home with family. I enjoyed my 10+ years in the Navy and being at sea until the Christmas season would roll around each year.

We have a bunch of lazy spoiled little bratts comming up in age that dont have a clue or know what freedom really is and they will be in big trouble if the continue down this road of ME ME ME!!!!!!!! Well me wont work when this country has no one to defend it and then they will see what life really is about ...... LONG LIVE THE MILITARY AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR AND PROTECTS WITHOUT IT WE WILL ALL BE SCREWED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAY THANKS TO ALL UNIFORMED GI`S YOU SEE
