AAA or Good Sam
Trying to figure out whitch to go with for road service if needed. We joined The Good Sam Club 4 yrs ago when we had our TT but was VERY upset with them cause every week we would get three or more mailings from them to buy something, worse than the NRA, didn't renew with either one of them. I know AAA will be the same but, feel we may need the service sometime down the road with the MH. Won't join the stupid AARP even tho the try, every other day I get something from them
I have towing included in my insurance coverage for a nominal fee. With Rv added coverage through AAA is 147.08per yr. here in Ohio, don't know about Good Sam.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the road service.
Thank You and
Be Careful Out There

Don't forget to consider CoachNet as an option many of us use.

When we bought the coach I did a lot of research on several forums looking for both positive and negative posts. We have AAA Colorado for our insurance and autos, and I'm a member of Good Sam but I got CoachNet for my towing coverage on the coach.

The most popular road service (at least based on forum responses)seems to be Coach Net - that is who we use. Tried Good Sam and switched after a couple of not satisfactory experiences. Coach Net, for us, has been superb. AAA, the last time I checked, was really a loosely affiliated group of regional offices, with some offering rv services, and others not-if in a not covered region, you were basically on your own to arrange something and then file for reimbursement. Btw, there are no sales mailings from Coach Net. Once per year there is a renewal notice and that is all.

We have Good Sam. They have backed off on the mailings and e-mails because of complaints from members. We've used them twice with mixed results but will stay with them.

From past experience (about 4 years ago), AAA will not change a tire on a dually.
We have Coach-Net and are quite satisfied.

I have AAA. I had Good Sam. I have never needed either for my motor home. I have used both for vehicle towing. Now to understand why I have chosen AAA over Good Sam or Coach net is both of these companies will only tow you to the nearest facility that can repair your vehicle. Now this is most likely fine for the majority. I on the other hand prefer to do my own maintenance , have the facility, equipment and knowledge to do 99% of any repairs any of my vehicles may need. AAA will tow any vehicle up to 100 miles with the premier membership for no additional fee. GS & CN will tow you any distance but you will pay the addition charges for any distance past their repair facility that they want to take you to. My GS tow bill for my daughters jeep by GS was an additional $145 to tow it to my home for a blown engine. That's when I switched back to AAA.
