Aahhhh....the Open Road!

The adventure....the experiences...the romantic glass of wine overlooking the lake. On the other hand....there are times when I really wonder if I should have my head examined with this RV thing? Time to be making our way North and on our way to the warmer weather of the coastal route .....so our first night out in the "real world" ......after holing-up in our favourite locations in the Phoenix area.....and....our $35.00 + tax gets us the ever so attractive "chunk-o-concrete" in the middle of a parking lot and a guy next to us having his rig power washed at 6:15pm .....while I'm trying to cook dinner!

Not exactly the vision of tranquil peace & quiet dreamed about while putting in long hours at the office!

I've never stayed at a Walmart and I've never stayed at one like that parking lot. I've come close, but not quite. The rv park in SanFrancisco at the stadium is about as close as I've come to it and that one was the most Expensive one I've stayed at.
Unlike you, however,we're heading out for Vegas and Yuma in two weeks and I'm really looking forward to some outside warmth.. High 20's here on the Kitsap Peninsula tonite.

Ugh! Before I'd pay $35 for a parking lot space, I'd stay at a Wal*Mart store lot.
