Thank you everyone. I think I made decision will be to leave the set point right up there 76 (its 85 - 95 out) and leave them on low fan speed all the time.

I leave the fan on low all the time and let the compressor kick On/Off. This helps at when sleeping as the constant fan speed is hardly noticeable and can't hear he compressor kicking on.



On auto the noise wakes me up.

I run the fan “on” at high speed and set the thermostat to 60... my DW’s nickname is the Ice Queen.
