Anyone have an idea to solve the issue of the AC vents being covered when the slides are in? We have a 2016 HR Scepter 43DF, and while traveling down the road, the coach will get up to over 90 degrees even with all 3 AC's on. The air doesn't make it past the slides, it just stays trapped up there.

I am trying to think of a way to divert some of the air back into the passenger area, without majorly unsightly modifactions.

Was thinking of making a vent cover out of plexiglass and trying that.

Please advise if anyone has already conquered this inconvenience, as we leave Florida for Illinois in a few days, and the wife and kids are threatening mutiny if the coach isn't cooler than the trip down.

Can you give us a few pictures in open and closed slide position?

I have a Newmar and the vents are positioned differently. However, my first thought is some "pool noodles" stuffed on the top of slide. They may not be pretty but they are soft and unlikely to damage anything .... and they are cheap.

It would take some major surgery, but you might be able to add some vents where they should have been.

That's crazy to have built a coach where either the supply or return vents are covered when the slide(s) are in.
Is this common? My coach has the supply side vents pretty much centered in the coach with directional vents. The returns
are at the edge of the slides when in. But even if the returns were over the slide room when retracted, they should still draw air.
Are you saying your supply vents are blowing onto the tops of the closed slides?

My first thought was to put another 'pass though' vent in the top of your slide right below the AC vent. That would look good an allow the air from the AC to enter into the coach.
And then I though about what that would look like with the slide open - well that would look like a big hole in the ceiling/roof. So don't do that.

The pool noodle idea gets points for being both inexpensive and non-damaging. If nothing else, go with that until you come up with something more permanent.

Do you have the option of not using the vents. On my coach you can close the vents, and use just the main air conditioner outlet. So all the air comes out under the air conditioner unit.

I use pool noodles for all kinds of things .... cut to length for reefer shelving fillers while traveling ... split lengths on bottom rung of outdoor gravity recliners (where your ankles hit) ... top rung of ladder where it rests on RV ... along the vertical edge of the mid-TV when traveling .... edges of slider or awning supports.
