Adding a water pressure tank

Just wondering if anyone has ever added a small (hydropneumatic) pressure tank to the water system in their RV? You know, a Well-X-Trol tank. Just to keep up a head of pressure so the pump doesn't come on each time you flush the toilet or you wrinse out a dish? Also wondering if some of the big boy toy DP'er already have them? I see a 2 gallon one runs anout $70 and Sureflow sells a plastic accumulator for under $50.

We bought the 2 gal tank for ~$65 from a pluming supply shop. Have it all set up for final connection. Procrastinating on the final connection. I always hate to fix a perfectly good non-leaking plumbing system.... will probably attempt the connection this or next month.

I bought and installed a small tank that is similar to the x-troll it is fairly small maby 2qts I purchased it from c/w install was simple used threaded connections at outlet side of water pump

Just buy a better pump and forget about the tank. The Flojet VSP is a variable speed pump and is very quiet. You won't need a tank with a good pump.

We put the 2-3 gallon tank in all our RV's. Waterpump comes on 3-4 times per DAY . I fully believe an electro-mechanical device has just so many off/on cycles and will always quit at the least opportune time.

Thinking about it, was looking for sizing information the other day. Almost decided to make my own out of plastic pipe but decided to see what I can find at the local sources first.

Remember the good ones have an air bladder pre charged your ave working pressure. You get much more useable volume with that
