Want a chuckle? Go to air safe hitches, scroll down to "saves gas and wear". Marketing people must think the rest of the world are idiots "increases gas mileage by as much as 100%".

Wow, 100% increase, that is like doubling my fuel economy. Since I normally get 10 to 11 MPG, their hitch will gt me 20 to 22 MPG.

That is better than I can do solo.

I think marketing folks need a to just be shot when they make such claims.

Absolutely ridiculous! These people should be required to certify a statement like this.

Skip, maybe if you just hang one on the back of the motorhome, it'll get at least a 500% improvement!!!!

After going to the link, I sent an email to them via their contact us section wherin I challenged the hype. Surprisingly, today I got a reply from a Lloyd Stegemann who profusely apologized that such a statement ever got onto their web site and that he personally would see to it's removal.

I have no way of knowing whether the statement on the web site was overt or covert; however, I give the guy credit for responding to my email and his stated willingness to correct it.

Maybe letting our voices be heard does work sometimes. Silence is NOT golden, Ken, '04 DSDP.
