Advice please

My wife and I bought a 2015 Heartland BigHorn. And we are full timers, but due to health issues we are wanting something more permanent. And also something for just basic camping. My question is how do I trade down? I would greatly appreciate and advice. Thanks

If you trade down, probablility is high you will take a big hit. But, being full-timers, you also prob can't sell without getting something to live in. I would think the best thing to do would be to see what the market says for a trade for what you want/need--then see where the $$ put you.
Might get a small apt, put the trailer up for sale and then think about a smaller unit to use when you are able.
Good luck to you.

When you say "something more permanent", does that mean a small house, park model, or what? If so, and if you can, I'd try to do that first. Then sell the RV and replace it with something for "basic camping."

Wingnut offers a good plan. You may also get lucky and find someone in reverse of your interest. Lots of Campers out there have something smaller looking to upgrade. You.might be able to work a trade plus cash. I would get on Craigslist and the forum fir sale sections. All you can do is try.

You've been given some options. If you really end up trading down, I'd suggest trying to do it at a dealership that sells Heartland products. Chances are he'll give you more for your 2015 model than those selling different brands.

Why not buy a lot in an RV community and park the 5W on it? No need to sell it and take the huge financial loss. Rv communities with permanent, year-around, lots are available in most areas of the south and come in a variety of price ranges and elegance.

Here are some examples.
Havasu RV Resort » Ownership
Willow Lakes RV & Golf Resort | 55 + Community | RV Community
Fort Myers FL RV Resort | Florida RV Lots for Sale | Cypress Trail RV Park |
