Aerial America on DISH

We've been watching the various episodes of Aerial America on the Smithsonian channel and am amazed at what we've missed on our travels to different states. Now it seem we need to backtrack on the states covered just to find these hidden historical locations. This is a very interesting program.

We DVR it. Awesome show other than when they are chasing herds of animals from the air. As a pilot, I was taught that chasing a herd via aircraft without knowledge of how to do it can cause injuries to those animals running from the aircraft as they are running out of fear. They seem to chase a herd of animals via the aircraft on quite a few episodes.

We have them DVR'd so we can watch when we want on the road. I'm trying to collect the entire series. And yea, they do like chasing animals, not cool.

It's on the Smithsonian channel. We have it set to record all episodes on our Directv system.

Very little is drone footage. It is a heli. Check the speed of the aircraft and the altitudes. Drones aren't quite up to that just yet
