Hi Jim,
I don't know if there is a "good" price for AGM batteries. In December I paid $299/battery for four Discover AGM batteries. Discover is the Brand being installed by Newmar in their high end coaches. I looked at other brands and their specs. For me, this was the best bang for the $s.

We bought some MK AGM batteries last year in Quartzsite for around $150 each.

Since we ordered our new rig with the residential refridgerator option that runs off the inverter when boondocking, I wanted to increase the battery capacity while at the same time decreasing battery maintainence so I ordered 8 Lifeline AGM batteries from Tri-State Battery

They offer free shipping, will meet or beat any price, and the batteries showed up 3 days after ordering. I'm not sure what the cut off is, but I asked for a better price since I was ordering 8 and they complied. Never hurts to ask even if you need only 2.
