Air Conditioning ?

Do you run the fan on high or low ?

Do you run the fan on Auto or On ?

I've been running my A/C on Auto and the fan on High.

If I will need it for some time I run with the fan on and low. With the basement air, I don't hear it cycle unless listing for it.

For just a cool down auto and high.

In the S&B now in the RGV, the air has been running a lot. 1 day with heat on.

Auto controlled both a/c compressor and fan speed on my last two coaches. Just left it on Auto and most of the time the fans operated at low speed. Except at start-up on a hot day.

Normally low speed and auto. There have been a couple of times when we ran the fan continuously to drown out outside noise coming from an adjacent campsite.

I ask because I installed a digital T stat and didn't add the High/Low fan switch.

Wondering if on low fan speed the A/C would keep us cool. Its pretty loud on high.

There seems to be a Radio Shack in Big Pine Key. I'll pick up a switch, install it, and try low fan.

I turn the fan on low at night for white noise to sleep. Low fan while cooling would probably do ok 75% of the time and always after dark. The real thing here is Radio Shacks are still in existence ????

You can try the low speed without installing the switch. I change my 5er out last year and put it on low. Worked just fine. High is just too noisy.

Auto and High.
I live in a high humidity area, I've always heard that having the fan on high will help to prevent freezing in the AC unit. I can't say for sure that's true, but it makes a bit of sense.

I set the fan to auto and thermostat to Cool or HP depending on need. I never understood running the fan when on cool all the time in a ducted system. Seems it would simply move the warm humid air at the ceiling around making it feel warm and humid.
