What type of service center (Camping World, truck shop, etc.) do you recommend for having the following services done on my DP MH?

1. Alignment
2. Ride height valves checked
3. Installation of new shocks

2001 Fleetwood Discovery 37
330 HP CAT
Freightliner XC
30,000 miles

We had our coach aligned at Hendersons Line-up in Oregon. They also checked the ride height, weighed all four corners and made tire pressure recommendations.
They take the MH out with you for a test ride. The technician then a evaluates and makes recommendations. You can choose what repairs you want them to preform. Great service, we were very pleased with their entire crew.

We took our '02 Dutch Star to Hendersons in 2003 for their evaluation. Their suggestion was to replace the entire front axle with a higher rated unit, which Newmar did.

You don't say where you live so it is difficult to give an answer about where to go. For sure,, I would not go to Camping World.

Of the 3 things you listed, you should do the shocks first, second set the correct ride height and then have it aligned.

Oh yes, where to go. II have mine aligned at Kaiser Alignment in Eugene,OR

I would choose a truck shop or chassis specialist rather than any RV dealer, especially a CW. You don't need RV techs to do that work, and odds are they are less-qualified than most truck/chassis techs for that sort of work. There are a few RV dealers that have good chassis shops with certified chassis techs (Lazydays Tampa and North Trail RV come to mind), but they are the exception rather than the rule.

My first choice for a Discovery (Freightliner chassis) would be the FCCC factory service center in Gafney, SC.

Truck center - in my case IH in Baltimore.
On the ride height be sure to bring the manufacturers spec and instructions. as it's not a normal truck/bus.
Personally I still do my own - brakes and shocks - as more often in the past, the installer has required me to re-do to fix a problem. Long story, just feel safer!

In your case if the local Freightliner Dealer has a good reputation on alignments then he would likely be fine.

Alignment is simple but requires the work to be done RIGHT, so finding someone who does it a lot is critical (like the Doc who replaces knees every week and has done it for years with NO COMPLAINTS - that's the one who will do mine - not the kid out of Med School)

Thank you for responding. I am looking online for the Truck Center IH in Baltimore, but cannot find it. What does the IH stand for? Do you recommend Truck Center IH or know of a good place that can install the shocks correctly if I already have them?

Sorry I looked it back up and it was Middleton Mead - they had one guy who only did alignments, after having it looked at by at least 6 other spots who all said it was fine these guys did the work and now drives with one finger.
