Allstays is my "go-to" when looking for rest areas, Costcos, campgounds, Walmarts etc. It is not my main resource for reviews.
As far as needing internet to run it, not strictly true. the icons for you, and all the campgounds and all the other icons are always there. What isn't there is the visual on the map, UNLESS you have opened the app when you have signal, which downloads it, and it will be there when you open the app next.

I use it some. It's a jack of all trades, a master of none type source.
If I want a real compressive list of public campgrounds, I go here.
Ultimate Campgrounds - Full Map

There are also much more current lists ofWalMarts, Costcos, etc. out there.

But is is handy at times.

We love it. It is the most up to date resource. Works with GPS and you can use it to get to RVparkreviewsdotcom. It is the only paid app on my phone. We have tossed our all of our books.

Love allstays, it has greatly reduced the stress a finding campgrounds, fuel etc. as we wander around unfamiliar areas.

We have more than one off their apps, and like them all.

We have it on our Verizon tablet so no WiFi is required. We can use it on the road using phone data. Great.

I use it on the road to find rest stops and occasionally fuel stops along the way and to identify any low clearances on back roads, so I keep it on my phone. For "campground" reviews etc. I use RV Parky and rvparkreviews. As others have said, it's just one of several apps I use as multiple sources seem provide better info.
