Amazon Lockers

Anyone use these yet. I have about 5 different campgrounds saved in my Amazon delivery addy. But this is a first for me.

Full-time RVers and snowbirds can use Amazon Locker to receive packages on the road. Be sure to keep these things in mind when using the big yellow boxes.

We've used them a few times, they are really convenient. Some will hold your packages for 3 days, some for a week. If you don't pick them up in time your packages will be returned for a full refund.

When your order gets delivered to an Amazon locker you get a pickup code. Go to the location, scan the code on your phone and the right locker bay will pop open. Pick up your package, go. Easy breezy.

Yes we have it works great for weekend pickups....but....orders are shipped to the Amazon Warehouse and then it takes 1 -2 days for an email to be sent with the pass code to the locker.

I feel kind of silly since i have never heard of them till just now. Just searched las vegas to see how many there are. There are many in the city......of course it is not often i am near a major city and when in a larger city i have so many options to get packages delivered to. I need these when passing though more rural areas where sometimes finding a proper trustworthy addresse to have a package sent to can be more difficult.

Now if i could just pick my shipper with every order (fed ex, ups, or USPS) i would be very happy. The shipping method matters sometimes. Now and again i find shippng company a wont ship to one place and vice versa. I have to have at least two shipping locations ready and when i figure out the shipping method i can then decide where to ship it. Biggest obstacle is using gen delivery from the post office but the package was shipped ups, does not work out well.

Seem to be mostly in major cities, not the sort of places I would go camping. I just checked the city near me now (Ocala, FL, population 60,000) and no lockers there are near by.

I've had pretty good service getting Amazon packages delivered right to a campground. A few won't take any mail or packages, but most seem to be willing to accept packages (e.g. Fedex, UPS, USPS Parcels) even though they may say "no mail".

Use them, LOVE them wish there were more and some larger lockers! I'm in Utah now headed to Arkansas. I have Amazon prime which means free shipping on many things. I have ordered a bunch of stuff to be delivered to a friend's home. I know that I have 30 days to return anything I don’t want to keep and I'll be traveling back thru Phoenix before 30 days is up. Phoenix has many locker locations.

They're convenient, but I assume you can only use them for items shipped by Amazon, so keep that in mind. And I had one order where they said the item was too large for the locker.... it was a 10"x15" cutting board, very strange.

Walmart is now experimenting with lockers for ship-to-store orders, also automated pickup kiosks. I was at a store in Savannah GA recently, and they were building a huge wall of lockers. They seem pretty serious about competing. Amazon is still best for most items, but Walmart ship-to-store has come in handy a couple of times.

They're convenient to use. Have you seen the new service they're offering now?
