Amount of RVers on the road over loading the system?

Just wondering about the amount of new rvers getting into the system and are the RV parks (new) keeping up. I have been RVing for 50 years off and on but heard a different tone about places to stop over night or to stay a few days. Just wondering what others think.
Thanks

Can't speak for others, I make reservations ahead of time, never had a problem.

All you "tourists/RVers have now hit Page/Lake Powell this week! Traffic is terrible. Wally World's parking lot is full of DPs this weekend. The dam is crowed with gawkers. The hiway (89) is a zoo. Go home Go home :-) :-) :-)

Just curious why you think the amount of RV'ers is growing? With all the coach companies that went under during the recession, do you think now the resurgence of new RV'ers is more than ever? I don't know myself...just curious what led you to that conclusion?

Membership parks I make reservations..Sometimes while enroute to the park sometims 3 visits in advance.

Other parks I generally find open sites...Though I do admit the park where I'm long-terming has filled as have others in the area a few times. and in fact just now all RV sites save one are occupied..(That one was occupied 24 hours ago).

Just drove up to Maryland from FL., and at both of our overnight stops I'm glad we made reservations, because they were turning people away because they were full. That's the first time in 5yrs. of fulltiming I've witnessed that.

Cheap fuel may be an influence to use the RV more.

1st week in April will have an overlap that includes not just returning spring breakers, but returning snowbirds as well.....

Yes, several manufacturers have left, however RV sales are recovering, with sales increases in the double digits.

The amount of r.v.ers is growing simply because the population just keeps growing. what I have noticed is, places where a person could have pulled over and parked for the night with no one caring is dwindling, more and more signs say no overnight parking. We had a woderful two night stay at a federal camp site on the coast 25 miles north of florence on 101 over spring break weekend. we had reservations and had a wonderful view of the beach. Gale

Baby boomers we are retiring and it's our turn to travel. Winter in the Northeast sucked this year. Fuel prices are half off their high. Need more?
