Post Another Blog Post from DrivinMyHome

"Most people will wander through life noticing those around them, maybe smiling, and just carry on their way feeling no different. The bold will strike up a conversation with those whom they encounter, and possibly start toward a lifelong friendship. And so it goes with my blog.

Please... don't just glance and smile, Comment!!"

Hi All,

I have decided to try my hand at this thing we call Blogging using the IRV2 blogging function. I would like some feedback from anyone willing to give it regarding my posts. Go easy on me if you can, but bust my chops a bit if I need it. Any criticism or advice is helpful. To check out my blog, click on the paragraph above or the link in my signature. Don't forget to comment. Thanks for looking!!

I just finished reading all your blogs. I must say you and your wife are brave souls...I couldn't imagine going full time with four children. Sound like you and your family have been adjusting nicely and enjoying this adventure. I can relate to clearing out the 'stuff' as we sold most of our things, donated alot and gave family things to our kids. We both had reservations and took a little longer getting out of the house then we should have. But it was our dream and we finally did it. We now have our house rented to a nice young couple and we have traveled from NC to CA, NC to NY and several shorter trips around the state. Are you planning on traveling and workkamping or staying put in Peoria? I have read on here where people are home schooling and showing the kids the rich history of our country. I did enjoy your blogs very much and will be looking for #7. I would love to hear how the children are adjusting. You didn't give their ages other than the baby.

Thanks for the comments, though I'm not sure we consider ourselves as fulltimers just yet. We'll probably be tied down to Peoria (or the Phoenix area) for another year or two for my work but ultimately we would like to join the ranks of other fulltime families who are showing off this great country of ours to their kids.

The great thing about being a young family, is not having to hurry. Good Luck to you.

Starting good, Driving . Soon you'll be ready to move up to www.blogger.com, and expand your blogging arena and start the interconnection that alot of us full-timer bloggers work on .

Thanks for the support. I've looked at blogger.com but don't understand how to get that 'interconnection' that you speak of. Any chance you could help me with that?

There's a number of ways, first off you need to become a follower of fellow topiced bloggers and be a regular commenter, many will add a reciprocal link to you.

You can also add widgets via the control panel that will list off link backs from other posters on other blogs when they refer back to your blog entries.

It takes time, I've had my blog since 2009 and I'm only up to 31 dedicated followers so far.

Also, with blogger, you can use Windows Live Writer (free software) to custom make your blog entries, including dragging and dropping photos into an entry and see how its going to look as you create it before you ever publish it online.

Very good information! I have created a Blogger profile and blog name, but am still a bit intimidated with it. I will look into the Live Writer software. For now, I think I'll stay a bit "low profile" and continue to use the blog here. I'll let you know when I go 'live' with Blogger.

Posted #8 last night. It's a bit of a biography of our family. Let me know what you think.
