Yeah, not good. Very sad. I hope everyone made it out ok with minimal injuries.
I wonder if they can establish a cause.

It looks like it was engine-compartment related, since the front of the house hadn't burned at the time the photo was taken.

Would really like to know what started the fire. My heart goes out to the owner and the family. I guess you just can't inspect the engine compartment enough.

MURRIETA: Fire destroys RV at dealership | Breaking News | PE.com - Press-Enterprise

Not funny but a comment on the article:

" Must be a PDI - pre delivery incineration "

I can't find any more on that MH burning in the OP.

Anybody have any follow up on it? I'd sure like to know what happened and that the folks are ok...

I had a class 8 truck go up from a motor fire. A high pressure injector line started leaking and soaked the engine compartment and probably onto the turbo. The driver didn't even realize what was happening until it got really hot in the cab. As soon as he stopped it just exploded into flames and he was lucky not to be hurt. Some might say what a dufuss, but this guy was a seasoned driver and this happened to him. This was in a front engine truck, so I think things could be burning very badly in a rear engine rig before you might notice.

and BIG question ... with the fire in the rear where the engine and most systems are ... will the front door still open easily??? Is it a manual system or hydraulic or something that might be compromised by a fire in the rear?
