Valley RV in McMinnville, OR is closing their doors. I was there last Friday to buy a part but a sign in the parking lot said "Sorry Closed". I was able to go into the parts department and buy my part. I talked with the gal there, who was busy boxing and shipping parts back to their suppliers, and asked what the deal was. She said that they were finding almost impossible getting folks financed because the lendors now want credit scores in the 800s. She said that the service department was 70% of their income, normal for a dealership, and it a slowed to a crawl due to the tough economic times we are in.

I have never purchased an RV from Valley RV but I have used their service department several time, twice as a drop-in on the way to the dragstrip, and I was always treated great and got great service at a reasonable price.

I am sad to see them close.

Paul
