Another TST Thread

With the stock market being good to me, I went ahead and ordered 8 TST Flow Through Sensors. Besides that, Mr. Covington cut me an 'arm twisting' deal on the sensors. He's also throwing in some extra seals and gaskets and I had tracking my numbers before we got off the phone.

New Flo Thru Sensors - Truck System Technologies, Inc

Why only 8? Dan agreed that we have very similar steer wheel situations, where without cutting/hacking, a FT sensor would not fit. I also ordered 6 - 45 valve stems from Always Shiny Wheels and RV for my 20' enclosed, as they would stick out too far with the high performance stems I now have. Their price beat Ebay by a couple of bucks and shipped today.

I can't say enough about the customer service at Trucks System Technologies. Both Dan and Abby were courteous, polite and professional and even laughed at my lame attempt at humor. Previously, Dan comped me a repeater to assure I get a good signal with having a 20' enclosed.

I did some testing this evening, and without using a breaker bar, it doesn't seem possible to over tighten the sensors. I made a manifold for two sensors and whenever I dropped the pressure ~10 psi, the monitor beeped. It also beeped when I raised the pressure ~20 psi, The temperatures were within 4 and the pressure read ~ the same as my external pressure gauge.

Dan assured me he is not going to sell to the highest bidder and will be around for a long time. I don't work for TST, just show appreciation when it is due.

Thanks Dan, Abby and crew.

PS. The batteries alarm on the monitor at ~3.020 volts. New batteries are ~3.338 volts

Well, after a recent flat and a blowout on my TT, I recently order the 507/4 and expect delivery this Friday.

The flat and blowout were both on one side, and to tell the truth, I felt nothing and heard nothing that felt amiss. I guess in time I would have, but a nice couple waved me down as they passed and told me I was having a problem.

Turns out I had to replace both tires to the tune of $200.

If the TPMS works as advertised, and I expect it will, it will make my journeys safer and less costly!v

One time I got caught when I had to turn off my monitor. It was connected to my EGT gauge alarm and the thermocouple shorted out causing constant alarm.

I was able to straighten out a 45 valve stem to ~40 and got the beauty ring to fit on. For good measure, I massaged the stem opening in the beauty ring with a rubber mallet.

BTW, those aren't dents. Just reflections.
