Another tv thread

I thought I could live with my 2004 CRT tv because I was too lazy to swap it out and there were other more important items to work on. Well today I finshed the tv swap and I'm glad I did. Wow, the new led tv is a big improvement. I went with a Vizio 32" because it fit perfectly width dimension to the old 27" crt and then I mounted a Vizio sound bar below it for omproved audio. Had to modify the original frame by adding the the filler piece between tv and sound bar. As an added plus, because both the sb and tv are Vizio you can control them from same remote I know, the guy in the reflection is UGLY

Nice job.

I'm getting ready to take my 32" TV down and replace it with a larger yet lighter Samsung. You gave me a great idea for mounting the sound bar.

Good looking job, the Vizio 32" TV sound on its own leaves a lot to be desired.

Nice work! That was smart incorporating the sound bar...Visios have great pictures but anemic sound. I'm sure it will make watching TV a much more enjoyable experience. I always enjoy seeing this kind of stuff...seems like we never get done working on our coaches.

I did a TV cabinet project this winter I've been meaning to post a picture of but haven't gotten around to it.

Enjoy!

The hard part is getting rid of the old TV. Goodwill does not even want them. You're swap looks really nice.

I did the same swap, except for a 39 inch Vizio. I have not finished the surround, but yours looks great. I also still have the old 27 inch if anyone needs an anchor.

Most places have an electronics recycling program now. Our town has 1 a year, and there's a charity place that does it year round.

Best Buy will also take electronics for recycling nationwide.
