Borax and corn syrup make a good ant killer. Corn syrup attracts them and the borax kills them.
In humans the exact opposite is true. Corn syrup is killing us and the lack of boron in the world food supply is causing arthritis and osteoporosis among other diseases.

Instead of the potentially messy syrup, I have always just mixed powered sugar with borax (20 mule team detergent). Anywhere around 2:1 to 3:1 ratio (final mix is 1/4 to 1/3 borax, majority is powdered sugar). Works great in a few days. If you can find the trail where they are entering, you can place it there near the entrance...they will divert to that food source, and as more workers come to pick it up, they won't be traipsing all thru your house/rv/whatever.

Do you have a picture of an ant who is traipsing?
