I live in Ontario. I am on my second class A motorhome in seven years. I have never heard of this requirement. I have many friends with rvs. I have never heard anyone ever talk about it, and I know they dont have these in their rvs. I would get another company. I deal with Wawanesa, and have never had a problem with them.

Insurance
We are in BC, where we have public insurance system. One can buy just the basic from the public insurer and shop around for comprehensive, collision etc rates from private companies.
I have heard of discounts for anti theft systems for cars, but never for RVs.
I would suggest that the OP call around to other companies, and to a different branch of the company that was originally called. The OP may have received bad advice from someone who doesn't know one end of a banana from the other....
Just doesn't sound right. Satellite tracking?

I'm under the impression that the anti-theft mechanism that is factory installed on US made vehicles will meet Canadian Standards, but don't know that for a fact. A good question to ask Canadian authorities, assuming the OP's Class C is US built. If not, forget what I said.

In Canada factory installed systems such as OnStar are monitored in the US - probably all out of the same office. The only thing Canadian about the service is the car's cell service provider.

Anti theft kill switch
Thanks for everyone's help. Our Jayco Class C is built in USA on Ford. I have researched and emailed both Jayco and Ford, no answer yet. My brother is also with wayfarer and has not been asked this with his $$$$ class A. I will call Wawanesa tomorrow. I am surprised that wayfarer who specializes in RVs is more than Allstate and is asking for something no one else has. Very frustrating dealing with insurance companies in Ontario
