Aerial (aeriel?) view of a fine riding area:

Oh well, I tried to make it a pic, but the link works just as well. North Georgia area. Close enough to Deal's Gap to do a day-ride. A few good campgrounds are around. The one we like best is at the intersection of Skeenah Mill Rd and Hwy 60.

RonNBama: We went into that area at the end of October. Great Trip to see the leaves... Stayed at Leisure Acres Campground in Cleveland, Ga. Nice campground, helpful and friendly...(10 minutes from the mountains) Used the toad to visit throughout the area. Helen, Ga (neat alpine village) Suches (Good motorcycle campground, T.W.O.) and we went to the top of Brasstown Bald, highest point in Ga...Good, steep curvy road, the grades up to the top vary from 10 to 18% with some short 30 and 40% sections.. If you want to see what the toad's brakes smell like, give it a try..(Motorhome NOT!!) Beautiful area for the car or a motorcycle. They do have a cycle race through that area and Lance Armstrong used the Brasstown road to train for the Tour de France..

Yep, those bicycles are a hazard, particularly on Hyw 180 from Hwy 60 oveer to 129 (Wolf Pen Gap). We usually run up the Brasstown Bald road on the tupperware torpedos for the fun factor. I'd hate to try getting the RV up there! It's a chore for me to get to Suches even.

The section from TWO south on 60 to 19, across to 129, north to 180 and back across to TWO is called the "Cooler Run". Sweet motorcycle roads.
