In your case i wouldnt buy one until you see where you frequent. For us we are travelling alot so i bought PA, Koa, and GS. After a year of travel i figured the PA was not worth what we paid. The KOA was marginal. The GS seems to be taken at more places as well as fuel discount at Flying J where we often fuel as they usually have rv lanes that make it easier when your long like we are. Everybody will have different results which is why i bought those three to test the waters.

Which RVing clubs to join depends on how, how often, and where you like to RV. If your choice includes RV parks, then, Good Sam is good because it will pay for itself in discounts pretty quickly and is widely accepted. If you travel mid-week Passport America can be useful, you'll want to check out if there are participating locations in areas you want to stop in. KOA works if you like KOA's and/or travel with children. If you RV 10 days or less a year, then none of them will be very useful. Figure out what type of RVer you are then you can find the right one (or none).

Thanks! We are mostly looking for discounts and ideas/ratings on campgrounds.

Another quick newbie question - how can I tell whom I have sent thanks to for replying to my question? I can't tell if I already sent thanks but I don't want to be rude and not thank everyone.

Some states have discount programs for their state parks. I know in Georgia you can pay $70 and get two free nights camping and two year long parking passes to any state park. You also get 10% off anything you buy in the camping store and 10% off any additional camping you do for the year at a state park. Georgia charges $5 as a parking fee for state parks so you recover your money pretty quickly.
