We camp in beautiful Parksville nearly every summer, and also plan on retiring in that area. I don't know what it is like to actually live near Parksville, but soon...!

Thank you for replying. I have tried to find info on medical facilities in Parksville.
I inquired at the municipal office with no luck. They refered me to Vancouver Island health Authority.
I would like to know about doctors and medical facilities such as hospitals etc.

That is the same advice that I would have had to give You! Since Our BC Medical and The Province all share information concerning Health Care ,You can find out everything that You need through them.

Obviously there are several Clinics ,General Practioners,Specialists Etc that You can contact directly from the List!

I believe that a New Facility has opened in the last Year in Parksville although since We live over the Hump in The Alberni Valley, this is where We have Our GP and Local Hospital .

As far as recommending a Doctor goes ,I can't do that , they are all qualified ,but each has their own Bedside Manner!

Information on RV related questions ,I will be happy to share?

Rob

Last year, my husband needed emergency help while we were in Parksville. There is an emergency care hospital (facility) just north of Parksville. We were very pleased with the help he received there.
There is a larger hospital about 20 minutes away in Nanaimo.

Thank you to all. My Questions have been answered. It sounds like there is everything we need. Will be traveling there in the near future. We have the ponderrosa up for sale. Very tired of snow and 40 below.
After looking at housing I'm convinced we would be wasting our money staying in Alberta.
Anybody interested in a log home on a treed acreage in the heart of oil country?😁
