I would recommend MB over Outer Banks for milder temps and more for your daughter to do. Not much going on at the Outer Banks.

We will be staying at Myrtle Beach State Park next week. Love it there.
Lots to do in the area and lots of good food and shopping.

We left MB yesterday. It was our first visit but it won't be our last. October is beautiful at MB. Water temp was 75, plenty of sunshine, very little traffic, cool nights. We stayed at Pirate Land Campground down by the beach and enjoyed the amenities there.
