Most of the "stuff" is county fair junk and kittle or nothing to do with RV's. A rock show also will be going on. However the people watching is great.

As new motorhome owners, we have been doing a lot of travels in our very smooth running 1997 Bounder 35u 460 banks kit. we live in Va. And traveled to Florida and Canada and all places between. We have just returned from 1000 island area of new York and really did give it a hard look driving out to AZ. UNTIL
In July we had some work to do in Utah, and thinking that it would be a great time to just drive down to Q and check out the area. We will not say that the temp of 115 was hot, for Jan it wouldn't be.
But the poor dw did no see, see, see any reason why to ever come here again. I'll work on her but ....
We love Utah and might drive out to Zion and the other parks but if I get to AZ it will be a shaft stay in Q

Visiting Q in July is like going to the Super Bowl in August, there's nothing there until the Snowbird season starting late Oct thru mid Feb. A few years ago we spent 13 days there before the big Tent and never got bored or saw the same Vendors twice. It doesn't look the same when Winter hits.

70's during the day and sometimes really cool at night. It also can be quite windy.

For the 1st year it the "experience". Now we go for at least 9 days to be with friends, hit the show, think up stupid projects we need to go back into town to buy parts and tools for, fly RC aircraft, see whos done what to who's coach since we last met, etc.
We're always up north of town where the dust is a little less (and because we don't own a Monaco....).

For anybody who has questions about Q “BLM camping”, just do a search for, what?, “AZ BLM camping”, “Q BLM camping”, “Q dry camping”, “BLM LTVA (Long Term Visitor Area) camping”, “BLM short term visitor area”, “Q free camping” etc. etc. etc.

Monacoach,
This question really is all about you. What do you like to do? In other words, if you like investagating the desert, bring a 4 wheeler or a UTV and go out into the desert with the 100's of other people that have them. There is so much to see there and the desert is beautiful that time of year. You can also use the 4 wheeler to drive around town and just look at all of the flea markets, if you are into that. You can find anything you want there. I mean anything. YOu are not too far from casinos, if you like that. The best is sitting around with a bunch of like minded people with a campfire and just talking and having pot luck dinners to enjoy. Some work on their coach, if something needs fixing. You can get just about anything fixed there. We are comming next year during the show. Any more questions let me know.

Be sure to go to the "Readers Oasis Book Store" on the north side of Main St. pretty much to the East end of town, this is a NOT to miss store! I have seen differant #'s but Paul has something over 100,000 books! There are also other "SURPRISES" in store for the visitor! He is an EXPERT concert pianoest. If he isn't busy he will play for you.
Have fun!
