Aqua Hot/Hydro Hot Question

I am looking at NADA on some coaches and I know some of these have options for Aqua Hot/ Hydra hot. What I can't figure out is, where is it in the list of options on NADA I see water heater listed but not Aqua Hot/ Hydra hot? Is NADA calling it the furnace? I am looking at older coaches in the 2002 and 2003 range. It is hard to figure out when a seller says the coach has an $11,000 option on it and you are unable to find it. Maybe back in '02 or '03 it was an $11,000 option, but the value of that drops just like the coach does. Also the manufacture says in '02 and '03 it was an option... TIA for the input...

It looks like that NADA doesn't list the Hydro Hot until 2005 models, at least on the Monaco/ Holiday Rambler. I guess you'll have to take a look at those years for a value and work your way backwards.

You should [almost] never add any options to the NADA price anyway. The price is given "as typically equipped", so even though an item may have been a factory option, it doesn't count if many/most of them have it anyway. Even if an expensive item like an Aquahot isn't all that common in that particular model, it won't add much to the retail value because it is an alternative function rather than an extra function. A better alternative, perhaps, but most buyers won't pay a lot more to get it.

One thing to remember almost all Aqua hots come on upper end coach's so they will be higher in price as they have most-quality.

The aqua-hot or hydro-hot were standard features on some of the older 03, 04's and 05's. A standard feature won't be included as a option. We thought it was an option on our 04 Monterey, but it isn't. It was a standard feature on the Laguna, so it can't be called an option. You almost have to have the original price list or booklet to know for sure. It's a great feature tho.

Thank you everyone, that clears up a lot. One thing I see are people use the aqua hot as an added item to boost the price, I was like uh, no, it loses value just like the rest of the coach. We have been looking at used Monaco Dynasty's. I figure between 69,000 and 90,000 we should be able to come up with something that is clean. But, I wonder about them. Why are those things far cheaper than let's say a Country Coach? Is it name? Is it build quality? I see a lot of similar things between those two. I think Monaco, HR, Beaver and one other, I can't think of the name, are all the same company build at one time or another. I am a real stickler when it comes to people making changes to something. I figure, do it right or don't do it at all and I have seen some WOW REALLY's in my searches... Wiring being the big one, I run from those like my butts on fire. Anyway thank you for all your input.
