Aquahot Leaking

Every time we get back from a trip I check all the fluids, oil , etc. in my coach. I always have to add boiler fluid (about a quart or less), to the aqua hot. I have looked at as many places as possible, all the heat exchangers, hoses in the compartment near the unit and such. There is no sign of leakage such as stains on the plywood subfloor, are on anything.
Does anyone know how to maybe put a pressure test with low volume and low psi air test on each of the hoses going to the exchangers? I cannot see any of the hoses after they go through the floor nor from underneath in the bays.

I guess my first question would be, are you running your aqua-hot the entire time you out ... including travel time ???

I had that problem & it turned out to be the pressure cap. It was leaking small amounts and the low volume largely evaporated on top of the unit. It's hard to see on top, but I used a mirror & looked up there after I removed the pressure cap. The filler neck was stained from the coolant leaking down the side of the neck and the top of the unit showed evidence of coolant evaporating.

Cleaned up the top of the filler & installed a new 13 # cap & all is well.

Agree with the pressure cap to look at first. Then I would open the unit and look at the pumps too. And look at the stir pump too. The work all the time when the unit is on and do leak often.

I had a slight leak and traced it to one of the hose fittings on a pump being loose.

Just read your post and thanks. We leave the hydrohot on at night until it warms up the next day. I usually always look around on the ground and under the coach for signs of any leakage and have not seen anything. I will look at the cap and top of unit to see if anything is amiss.
