Are there any Jews who RV?

I realize that this is a very touchy subject! My DW and I are having this discussion. She is Jewish and I am a non theist. She says that Jews don't RV. I say that they do. Anyone have anything they want to input to this? We RV so I know there is at least one!!

You might be opening a can of worms on this one.

I don't believe any religion restricts anyone from RVing.

Frugality can be anyone's affliction.

A most interesting question.

I can not remember in over 50 years of RV's, sailing, motorcycling, picnics, travel, sightseeing, every asking about someone's religious choice. Now discussions about thoughts and philosophy, around the campfire do happen. But then I am way more interested in the food they fix and eat, and how they fix their choice of coffee. We have at least 12 ways to fix it, from around the world.

Now, if you were to ask about, food, travel, best or worst campgrounds, anchorages, best oil, best BBQ, Pho, beer, rum, discounts, or fuel mileage or prices, then I would guess many of us could say we have had those conversations.

Hope you enjoy each and every day on the road and camping. Stop by and say hello when we meet, I always have extra chairs.

Have met many Jews on the road.

One time a strict Orthodox, whom shared his life as a Jew with me,while parked next door.

I enjoyed the conversation, and as a Christian, learned a lot!

Yes, They Do

Jews do RV. Our best friends are Jewish and they camp more than we do. My friend is always joking about he is Jewish and how his family can't believe that he "camps." He has a very funny story about years ago when he was a Boy Scout and his father had to go along with him. It rained all night and he awoke to find his father sleeping in the car. He woke his father up and his father told him "Jews don't camp. Get your stuff because we're leaving."

Here is a funny video my friend shows everybody:

Jews Don't Camp! - YouTube

OK. I asked him. He said the YouTube video says it all -- they weren't raised to camp.

Such a question is about the same as " Jews are not farmers". Of corse this is not true. What is true is a corn beef sandwich from a Jewish deli is often the best. So much is where you come from, city or country. I would say there are more RVs owned by folks coming from small towns and rural settings than from big cities where many people don't even own a car, or a drivers license.! And , there are more ethnic neiborhoods including Jewish ones in big cities , so we can in honesty agree that there are fewer Jews in RVs and more Jews traveling on jet airliners to warmer places....nothing sensitive about that statement.

I'm not too sure about the "jew" camping thing, but in all my camping travels I have noticed that very few black people go RVing. Now whats up with that? Are there any black folks out there that explain that?

My friends do. Why not? All wheels are round, just some are bigger than others...that seems to be what makes camping a good fraternity.

I've seen several black families RVing. Here's one you may know.
