Are you a closet RV inspector??

My name is Jerry and I am a closet RV inspector.

(Everybody say "Hi, Jerry")

I have a Wallyworld that is on a large 4 lane highway (US Route, soon to be an interstate) about 4 miles off of I-95. Sometimes I stop there between work and home, and since this is usually 10 minutes after they open, I am in and out quickly. But then, there is always at least two M/Hs in the upper lot, sometimes four or five and I just have to go ride by and check them out.

Am I the only one who does that? Now bear in mind, I'm not looking at date codes on tires or looking to see what kind of braking system is on the toad. I'm just looking in general, just like meeting one on the highway but much slower closing speed.

Yep. And when in a RV park, in the evening, we stroll around around with a beverage checking everything out.

I've even been known to slow down (or speed up in some cases) on the freeway in order to check out a coach, their tow bar setup, etc. Drives DW crazy!

Yep, always looking. Drives my wife crazy as well, but you never know when you'll see something you like, a new way of doing something, or just be entertained!

I always look at slide and door locations and try to imagine the type of floorplan.

I am with you all. It may be some time of sickness. I look at all the classifieds on this site of MH's for sale, and yes occasionally i stop at Camping World by my daughter's house in Monticello MN and see what they have for sale. I believe it is the search for the perfect Motorhome. (Which does not exist)

We always do the RV Park stroll, looking at all the rigs that are bigger and nicer than ours. (There's always at least one)

But my wife had a good point last time when she said..."everything in our coach works perfectly, do you think they can say the same thing about their MH? "

I'm an RV crackhead to!! I don't care if I had 10 of them stacked in the driveway, I will still go look at new ones. to add to nancybninja's comments, the best ideas are the proven ones you will see in the campgrounds as you travel. If you don't learn something from every stop, you're not drinking enough rum and coke!! Forget the roses....take time to "stop and smell the campers".

Thankfully the local Wally World is go longer inundated with RVs since town council finally got off their duffs and passed 'city ordinance'........NO OVERNIGHT PARKING

Now I do check out the various RVs in CGs during our daily stroll

Always, on the road, RV parks, Camping World and never miss an RV either show if I can help it. Even been known to stop a few and ask questions about their rig. No I'm not shy and usually get a great conversation going.
