I just got back from my first test shot out of the cannon. It was only a test, but it did not go as planned. As I did the barrel roll just before I hit the net, I lost speed and hit the edge of the net. I have a cantaloupe sized swollen area above my hip, my back is black & blue, and I am in a lot of pain.
As soon as the pain goes away , we will raise the cannon barrel 6 degrees and I will wear my suit this time which is aerodynamic and this should get me over the edge of the net. We considered raising it 10 degrees but then I could over shoot the net.
After we perfect the tregectory I will head line as the Human Cannon Ball at a circus and then check off my bucket list Human Cannon Ball and retire from the circus. Now that they will no longer have elephant acts. I should be a super star on my debut in the circus.
Wish me luck.
Giancarlo the Human Cannon Ball.

Well done and congratulations.
Would it be possible for you to send us all an autograph before you get famous. I fear the cost of a autograph will be excessively priced once you become a star.

Giancarlo,
If'n the raised the trajectory by a total of about 15º and removed the roof of that nearby Community Swimming Pool you could set two records in one day.
1) Heaviest human cannon ball
and
2) World belly-flop champion.
How's that for forward thinking.
BTW to go forward you enter the cannon feet first.

15 degrees may work. However if there is a pool involved there must also be a flotation device. That may make the fit too tight to come out of the barrel clean. The suit may offset that if one can successfully get out of the barrel.
Adding wings that fold out after leaving the barrel may give some ability to glide and make turns. Adding floats would make a smooth landing possible.

I guess we'll have to find a larger caliber barrel er cannon.

We'd have to carefully calculate those flotation devices or we could also set a world record for the "Bouncy Castle Imitation" by a potential Human Cannonballer.

Or go on a "Crash" diet.
Hmmmm . . . . . Wonder how long that will take. Probably longer than it has taken to kill the thread.

It would have to be Quality Assurance because Quality Control has been lost.

It would have to be Quality Assurance because Quality Control has been lost. If we wanted Quality Control we would have to start the thread over.
Now that would be interesting.
