This will keep it going.

If a hen and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, how many eggs can 6 hens lay in 7 days?

And... we're off...

Where did I go wrong?
I'm pretty sure I sign most of my posts...I spell my name out...it's in my avatar...
I'm not sure what else I can do...
If I get Great Grandma FRANCESCA BALDWIN to come back from the dead and s'plain that it's my real, true, and ONLY first name and that neither she nor I have ever answered to a nickname, would that do it???

Sheesh!

Yours truly,
F-r-a-n-c-e-s-c-a

P.S.

You're not the Arch Nemesis with whom I'm Locked in Mortal Combat- A.M. is lurking out there somewhere, I feel sure...
But you might be in the running for Arch NAMESIS!

F.

Dang!!!
I go RVing for two days with no internet and I get three pages behind.

But I'm back

I only wanted to post I but the word I only has 1 letter and I is not enough to post. I am so disappointed that I couldn't just say I. I could say more, but I think this should do It.

Francesca by Ezra Pound
You came in out of the night
And there were flowers in your hand,
Now you will come out of a confusion of people,
Out of a turmoil of speech about you.

I who have seen you amid the primal things
Was angry when they spoke your name
IN ordinary places.
I would that the cool waves might flow over my mind,
And that the world should dry as a dead leaf,
Or as a dandelion see-pod and be swept away,
So that I might find you again,
Alone.

Yep.

He wrote that for Great Grandma, all right.
Of course, that was a while before she posed for the picture I already posted.
She was a can-can dancer when she met ol' Ezra- here's one of her publicity shots.

She's the one who looks like me!

She always told Great Grandpa that she and Ezra were "just friends"- not that there was any reason to suspect otherwise.
Great Grandma Francesca had such fond memories of Ezra, though, that his name has been handed down in the family just as hers has been!
Here are some more pictures from the Family Album:

This one is of Ezra Pound in his twenties:
And this is my brother "Ezra the 4th" at about the same age:

I've always thought it rather sweet that even though they only share a name, there is the teensiest resemblance between them...
