The pool business is "big" competitive business here. Not only installing them competitive but the "pool maintenance" business is also very competitive.

A standard pool about 14' x 32' with a depth of 6' with the screen enclosure will cost a little more than 1/2 of dogpatch's first estimate. Most folks have the in ground pools built when they build their house. Adding a in ground pool to an already built home can be costly.

By the way dogpatch, the pics you posted of your job were very very nice. Beautiful job and great landscaping.

You say your Metamucil arrived before camping? That's great! Wouldn't want you to get backed up now!

Only thing I have done is the winterize to blow out the lines. I do all my own monitoring of chemicals and salt. My salt generator is great and the water feels like really soft water. Salt water beats chlorine any day!

I actually have 4-4'x10' solar panels on my roof now and can adjust the temperature by about 8 degrees a day. It's a pretty maintenance free system once set.

I'd put one of these in again in a heartbeat.

I love jeans but I rarely wear them in the pool.

Was gonna ask.. What salt system do you use? We went to Bacquacil for years, but that proved to be as bad as chlorine maintenance wise, and cost more... I have a small 12x24 oval atm.

Maybe she meant Metalurgy? But then she said CB too didn't she? Maybe it was a Metalurgical CB.
